Some books you just can’t cuddle up to. Ice Cream is like that, but then, on the upside, you can bounce the light of your mobile off its neat ice blue holographic cover and beam it to any centre of contemporary art on the planet. Ten curators have selected emerging artists and a ‘source’ artist for inclusion in this exhibition-in-a-book. Eschewing text heavy, in-depth investigation of individual artists in favour of succinct samplers of practice, the extensive referencing means it is a useful springboard for further research.
