Having visited all seven continents, Michael Bowyer has collected plenty of stories from his travels. Some of those experiences were memorable for all the wrong reasons, forming the basis of his latest one-man comedy show, 22 Things I’ll Never Do Again.
Always willing to try something new, Bowyer uses a PowerPoint presentation to guide audiences through a selection of adventures that seemed like good ideas at the time. Along the way, he shares stories about a gay bed and breakfast in Buenos Aires, French fries that unexpectedly left him drunk in South America, and a cross-dressing nudist he encountered in Australia.
The Cannington local says unusual things often happen when he travels, providing plenty of material for his stand-up performances.
While the show contains a few cheeky themes, it is recommended for audiences aged 16 and over. Bowyer is also one of the few comedians who performs without relying on swear words, making the show accessible to a broad range of audiences, you can bring your mother.

After starting out on the Fringe circuit, Bowyer is now presenting his sixth one-man comedy show at venues across Perth.
There are afternoon and evening sessions from 16 September to 14 November 2026 at either the Backlot or the State Library of WA. Go to www.michaelfromperth.com for more information and tickets.
