Everything about Kate Monroe is hot!

She’s one of Australia’s hottest DJs. She’s an incredibly hot MILF. She’s also about to play a scorching set at Connections Nightclub when The Official Pride After Party burns across the dance floor. Everything about Kate Monroe sizzles.

‘Funny you should mention that,’ laughed Monroe. ‘Probably the most brilliant gig I ever did was the first harbour party. It was down at the Sydney Harbour and everyone was playing vinyl – I think CDs were a luxury – and the sun was actually melting my records and making them flip up like a burrito. But it didn’t really bother me because I was looking out at my community and everybody was dancing.’

She’s expecting the same reaction from the upcoming Pride Party: to bear witness to a sizzling disco inferno, one sure to make her eyes moist. Well… that could just be the smoke machine. What is certain is that Perth is all set for one burning set. What are some the hot tracks she’s got ready for us?

‘I’ve been getting into really incredible remixes of classics,’ confessed Monroe. ‘Not like cheesy remixes but really amazing ones where you don’t even realise the song is coming until it hits you in the head. So expect some pretty hard hitting music: tough, but with vocals.’

She cites Axwell as one of her time favourite influences but increasingly finds the biggest influence in her life is her child. Yes, Monroe and her lesbian partner are proud (yummy) mummies.

‘My girlfriend and I had a baby two years ago and I took nine months off to be a mum. I was trying to be a DJ and a mum and I wasn’t doing it as well as I wanted – the DJing that is. So I decided to take some time off. I’m in a process of reinventing who I am after taking time off. Reinvention is something we all kind of need to do and should do occasionally so we can refresh who we are to get back into the groove.’
