The single is the first release off the singer’s forthcoming ‘ARTPOP‘ album.

The cover image was created by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The dutch duo are successful fashion and art photographers who have been working together for over 25 years.

Gaga shot a video for the track with the photography duo in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Speaking about the video Gaga has said, ““It’s full of happiness, because what I’m saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me. Give me that thing that I love. Put your hands up, make them touch.””

The track which was written with DJ White Shadow is about Gaga’s relationship with her fans, who she dubs ‘Little Monsters’.
