Bashing at Beat

OUTinPerth was contacted by the concerned friend of a victim of a severe bashing at a beat in the southern suburbs this month. A similar incident earlier in the year suggests that this may not have been the only attack by this assailant, and beat users are advised to exercise caution.

WAAC Beats Project Co-ordinator, Simon Yam told out in Perth that whilst ‘beat users were generally aware of the dangers of beat use, there is always a handful of beat users who put them selves into risky situations’. Mr Yam advised that rather than taking the risk of using beats ‘safer alternatives such as saunas, and sex on premises venues should be considered’.
