The show will be hosted by fifth doctor Peter Davidson, who will take to the stage alongside daleks, cybermen and a whole host of other creatures from the darkest corners of time and space.

This musical celebration will also feature music from the new season of ‘Doctor Who’, alongside specially edited sequences of Peter Capaldi’s debut as the twelfth doctor.

Peter Davidson expressed his excitement at returning to Australia:

“I had a fantastic time on the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular Tour in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year.  It was great to see audiences so enthralled by the combination of music and the monsters and I can’t wait to join you again with this exciting new show. Once again Murray Gold’s brilliant compositions are arranged by Ben Foster for full orchestra, and it is fantastic to be able to give audiences the opportunity to hear these pieces played live by your world class musicians.”

Composer Murray Gold added:

“Audiences will be able to hear the first public performances of music from the Capaldi era, encapsulating the dizzy rush and excitement of a new Doctor.”

‘Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular’ will visit the Perth Arena January 31st 2015. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketek.
