Sensational Line-Up for Blues and Roots Festival

Mavis StaplesThe Blues and Roots festival have announced their line-up for 2015 with list of world class musicians locked in.

Local boys the John Butler Trio will take the headline spot. Also on the line up is Paolo Nutini, David Gray, rappers Jurassic 5, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and Xavier Rudd and the United Nations.

Reggae king Jimmy Cliff will be coming as well as funk legends George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.

Plus there’s also Keb Mo, the fantastic Mavis Staples (pictured), Beth Hart, Lanie Lane and Kim Churchill.

Paul Kelly will present the Merri Soul Sessions featuring Dan Sultan, Clairy Browne, Kira Puru & Vika and Linda Bull.

Now it’s 12th year the annual festival has de veloped a reputation for being on of the best festivals – one where music is front and centre.
