An estimated that a crowd of 0ver 200,000 people watched 145 floats and 10,000 marchers take part in Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras last weekend.
Celebrating it’s 37th year the festival focused on the theme of ‘passion’ as community groups were celebrated and a light shone on LGBTIQ rights.

‘Cucumber’ and ‘Banana’ are two shows separate shows that will have interlinked stories.
‘Cucumber’ focuses on the lives of a group of gay men in their 40’s, while ‘Banana’ tells the same tales from the perspective of a group of men in their 20s.
Glen Maxwell Called “Fag” at Cricket World Cup Match
Australian cricketer Glen Maxwell was labelled a “fag” by a fan at a match at in Sydney last Saturday.
Australia faced off against Sri Lanka and left with a victory allowing them to qualify for the quarter finals.
One Sri Lankan fan caused a stir on social media by holding a sign reading “Maxwell Ponnaya”, which roughly translates to “Maxwell is a fag”.
