Who Survived Eurovision's Second Semi-final?

IMG_8424_EVSPOILERS Below, don’t read this of you don’t want to know the results of Eurovision’s second demi-final.

Eurovision’s Second Semi Final is over with ten more countries making it through to the final.

Seventeen counties competed for just ten places in the final. They’ll join ten nations who passed the first semi-final and the big five nations who automatically go through to the final – host country Austria, plus our own Guy Sebastian representing Australia.

So who is out? Not making the cut were Ireland, San Marino, Malta, Czech Republic, Iceland, Switzerland and Portugal.

_AP51440The successful contestants were Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway, Montenegro, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Latvia (pictured)  and Israel.

They’ll join Russia, Serbia, Armenia, Belgium, Greece, Estonia, Hungary, Albania, Romania and Georgia have all qualified for the final a few days ago. The big five European countries Germany, Spain, The United Kingdom, France and Italy who don’t have to compete is the semi-finals.

Australia is a wild card entry in this year’s 60th anniversary celebrations of the competition and Guy Sebastian will take to the stage on Saturday night to represent us.
