When lesbian couple Danielle LoPresti and Alicia Champion felt that their same-sex-parents-multi-racial family wasn’t been represented in the mainstream media they created their own version of a Christmas classic.

The couples version of ‘I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus’ has found a big audience and has now been watched on YouTube almost 150,000 times.

Danielle told The Huffington Post that the couple are always looking for representation of similar families to show their young son.

“As a multi-racial, same-sex, foster-adoptive family, Alicia and I are always looking for examples of other families like ours to share with our son.”

“After not finding a single holiday video of a family that resembled ours, we thought that since we have access to the resources, we would create something to fill that void.”
