Code 7465: Perth's Newest Gay Night

Code 7465On April 26th, Thursday nights in Perth are going to get a lot hotter and a whole lot gay-er. The Phoenix in East Perth is launching Perth’s newest gay night: Code 7465.

There will be a Dirk Diggler-sized stage show extravaganza with choreography by Ben Dunkin and special guest appearences by Swish and Shimmer. There will be games. There will be giveaways. There will be dancing with DJs Sep Sharp, JJ, Mel B, Moosh and others spinning the tunes. There will be drinking. There will be debauchery. And come Friday morning there will be masses chuckin’ a sickie to recover.

So, what does Code 7465 mean? OUTinPerth asked event organiser Aaron Doust, ‘That’s the secret. You are supposed to try and work that out’. He did hint that it has something to do with mobile phones and Pink, one of Perth’s gay nights of yesteryear… Beyond that, Aaron would only say ‘it is going to be a huge night. We have huge entertainers, and almost every drag queen in Perth will be on stage’.

Code 7465 isn’t a one-trick pony, however, and Aaron promises that more guests and artists planned for the future.

Code 7465 launches THIS Thursday, April 26th at the Phoenix, 237 Hay St. in East Perth. VIP entry at 9pm; the common people at 10pm. The event will then be held every Thursday night. Get there and get yours.
