Joel Adams is getting a lot of attention with his song ‘Please Don’t Go’. The song came out just before Christmas but it’s been a slow-burner gradually racking up YouTube views and gaining the attention of radio shows.

Fact 1: Joel Adams’ Video has had almost 21 million views. 

‘Please Don’t Go’ has slowly been racking up hits on YouTube, now almost 21 million people have watched it. The video sees Joel playing music in a forest surrounded by swirly lights.

Fact 2: Joel Adams first gained attention when he appeared on X-Factor

Back in 2012 Joel caught people’s attention when he appeared on the Australian version of X-Factor. On the show he caught the judges attention performing the Michael Jackson / Paul McCartney song ‘The Girl is Mine’.

Back then Joel was known as Joel Goncalves but he’s changed his family name to his mother’s maiden name because it’s easier to pronounce.

Fact 3: Joel Adams is all over social media

Joel’s all over social media, you can follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. He’s often posting shirtless selfie’s and rhetorically asked on Twitter why these were always the most popular?

Fact 4: Joel Adams writes his own tunes and plays several instruments.

While he might have first got attention singing cover versions Joel’s now writing his own tunes and playing the instruments. He can play the piano, guitar and the drums.

His first single came out on an independent label but he’s hoping to be signed to a major label soon.

Fact 5: Joel Adams loves his gay fans

Joel is single, and straight, but he’s spoken out about how much he loves all his gay fans.

“It gets confused a lot,” he said. “I’m straight but I’m all good, as long as people want to hear my music. It is cool.” Adams told The Daily Telegraph.
