Hip-hop trio Migos question support for iLoveMakonnen

Migos

Hip-hop trio Migos have questioned if fans of rapper iLoveMakonnen really supported the artists announcement that he is gay.

In a new feature interview in Rolling Stone magazine that up-and-coming Atlanta group allowed a reporter to hang out with them in the studio.

During the discussion the conversation turned to the recent announcement from fellow Atlanta artist iLoveMakonnen, who shared that he is gay with his fans via a Twitter post back in January.

The Rolling Stone report describes band member Quavo questioning if fans supported the rappers announcement, while colleagues Offset and Takeoff describe the world as being “not right” and “fucked up”.

They quickly added that they have nothing against “the gays”, but say that iLoveMakonnen has less credibility now that his sexuality is known. The band indicated that it was harder to believe iLoveMakonnen’s earlier tracks where he claimed to have been a drug dealer.

The two camps have previously collaborated. In 2015, Migos joined Makonnen on “Whip It (Remix).” The track appeared on the Drink More Water 5 mix-tape.
