Premier McGowan has also taken on responsibility for Public Sector Management, State Development, Jobs and Trade and will be the spokesperson for Federal-State relations.

Deputy Premier Cook will retain the Health portfolio he held in opposition, expanding his role to cover Mental Health as well.

Ben Wyatt has become Australia’s first Indigenous Treasurer, and will also be overseeing Finance, Energy and Aboriginal Affairs.

Returning to WA from her federal role, Alannah MacTiernan will be Minister for Regional Development, Agriculture and Food and will assist Premier McGowan with the State Development and Jobs and Trade portfolios.

Returning members John Quigley, Michelle Roberts, Paul Papalia, Sue Ellery and Rita Saffioti will retain their roles as Attorney General, Police Minister, Tourism Minister, Education Minister and Transport Minister respectively.

Chris Tallentire, Alanna Clohesy, Darren West, Samantha Rowe, Reece Whitby and Member for Perth John Carey will be taking on varied roles as Parliamentary Secretaries.

Former Shadow Ministers, Thornlie representative Chris Tallentire and Member for Girrawheen Margaret Quirk, have not been granted cabinet positions as Labor had assigned more portfolios than the government is allowed while in opposition.
