Feist announces first album in six years: Pleasure

Canadian chanteuse Feist has announced her first studio album in six years, following her 2011 offering Metals.

Pleasure is described as focusing on secrets and shame, loneliness and tenderness, care and fatigue – a study of self-awareness.

The award-winning artist and former member of/contributor to indie-rock outfits Broken Social Scene and Arcade Fire has had a breakout solo career, with her unique mix of haunting vocals and upbeat pop.

Her singles Mushaboom and My Moon My Man were alternative radio staples in the noughties, and her smash hit 1234 even landed her a stint on Sesame Street teaching the children how to count.

Pleasure will be released on April 28th and is available for preview and pre-order now.
