Steps record 'Story of a Heart' from ABBA songwriters

The latest single from Steps is written by ABBA members Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. The song sounds like it could have been a long last ABBA tune, but its actually written much more recently.

The track was first performed by The Benny Andersson Band in 2009 and featured on the band’s compilation album of the same name.

The tune is Steps second single since they reformed earlier this year. Their fifth album Tears on the Dance Floor was released back in April.

Steps have often found success by covering songs from other artists. They scored a big hit with their version of The Bee Gee’s Tragedy and they also covered two tunes from Bananarama Movin On and Last Thing on My Mind. They’ve also delivered a take on Kylie’s Better the Devil You Know.

When the band disbanded H and Claire formed a duo and released an album, and they also managed to score a track from the ABBA songwriters.  The pair recorded Another You, Another Me a song Andersson and Ulvaeus penned for Swedish band Gemini.
