The up-and-coming producer is making big waves on the music scene at just nineteen years of age. He started making tunes when he was in High School, and his made a big splash in his professional career getting his tracks released on global labels incluiding SPINNIN’ Universal, Dim Mak and Bourne Recordings.

He’s also collaborated with some well known artists including Will Sparks, Timmy Trumpet, Mashd N Kutcher, and Joel Fletcher.

His latest track Anyway sees him re-teaming with vocalist Mimoza, it’s an instantly catchy tune which sounds like it could be the latest Rhianna single.

Speaking to OUTinPerth ahead of jumping on a plane to head west, Tyron Hapi told us the track came together really quickly.

“I got the vocal from Mimoza, who is a very talented vocalist from LA, and basically I did the whole track in a week. It was super quick and really fun, I enjoyed making it and was really pleased with the result.”

Despite this being the second track that Mimoza and Hapi have collaborated on the two have never met in person, all their work as been done over the internet.

“It’s a lot of emailing back and forth.” Hapi said of the modern creative process. “There in a completely different time zone, so every time I’d work on the track during the day, I’d have to wait to the next day for a reply.”

Hapi said that collaborating with people you’ve never met is increasingly common in the music industry, “It’s a bit weird and crazy, but it happens quite a lot, Hopefully I’ll meet Mimoza in person one day and we’ll collaborate again.”

Hapi said music has always been an interest of his, and his first love was being a drummer.

“I played the drums as a kid, and I still do, then I got into piano, and I play a bit of guitar.”

When he was just fourteen Hapi got into producing tracks, “I would have been n Year 7, so it was quite a while ago.”

Hapi said while he’s found success quickly, it’s come because he’s worked hard, having spent many late nights in front of a computer creating his sounds.

“It just comes down to hard work really, it’s just how bad you want it, and how much you enjoy, I just love making music, so its always going to be part of my life.”

“I’ve never been to Perth, so I’m looking forward to spending my whole weekend there, it’s going to be awesome.

“I play all my tracks, and have pop remixes of all my tracks, I play a lot of trap, and big room festival stuff, and bit of psy-trance now, because that’s vibing quite a bit.”
