FX has just released an extended trailer for the show and it looks very fabulous. Set in New York in 1986 the series juxtaposes the rise of the the ballroom scene and club life in lower Manhattan with the rise of ’80s excess in upper class society.

The show has been praised for casting many transgender actors for transgender roles. Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Angelica Ross, and M.J. Rodriguez are all playing transgender characters on the show.

The series also stars James Van Der Beek, Kate Mara, Evan Peters, Billy Porter, Ryan Jamaal Swain and Dyllon Burnside.

The show will premiere in the USA in June. Check out the trailer.
