After two smashing sell-out celebrations, the Kennedy ART BALL is returning to the Art Gallery of Western Australia this May.

The unique event combines music, fashion, entertainment, drag, eats and of course, art for a fabulous evening that aims to raise funds for the AGWA Foundation to help acquire new works for the State Art Collection.

This year Architecture In Helsinki will be bringing the indie-tinged nostalgia, The Southern River Band will flood the stage, and local favourite Odette Mercy brings an 11-piece brass outfit to the ball.

Freo-based producer Ukiyo will be spinning their electro sounds with a little help from jazz-pop vocalist Your Girl Pho, Zara Bryson will make her highly anticipated DJ debut and The Potbelleez will take the party late into the starry night.

Perth’s own Joel Creasey will MC the evening, talking audiences through the evening’s theme – A Window on Italy – The Corsini Collection, based on AGWA’s current exhibition.

Besides the musical and comedic phases of the evening, guests will also be invited to join in some nude portraiture, divulge their sins in The Confessional, lounge in the Koala Parlour, get into the Madonna-inspired circus antics of BarbieQ and Kinetica and freak out with the queer artists of VDLV and Gendermess Productions.

With an avant garde / black tie dress code, there’s no excuse not to stand out as the work of art you truly are!
