Lady Gaga releases the first tune from 'A Star is Born'

Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters have less than three weeks to wait to see her feature film debut in A Star is Born.

The film has been getting rave reviews after it’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival and the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been traveling the world for premiere screenings.

The first track from the film’s soundtrack has just been released. Shallow is a powerful song that has been featured in the film’s promotional trailer. It starts off quiet but builds into a mighty crescendo.

The story A Star is Born has been brought to the screen several times. The original movie, made in 1937 by director William A. Wellman. The first version of was a drama starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March was about an aspiring movie star who is helped by a more experienced actor whose career is fading.

In 1954 the film was remade with Judy Garland and James Mason in the starring roles, now a musical it contained one of Garland’s biggest hits The Man That Got Away.

A third version was made in 1976 and starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristopherson. The film created a huge hit for Streisand’s with the song Evergreen.
