Perth Comedy Festival is ready to tackle the real issues

Over 50 comedians will be converging on Perth this April and May to tackle the real issues ahead of the impending federal election.

Canada’s Mark Forward, Malaysia’s Jason Leong and the South African All Stars join Aussie comedians Charles Firth, James Schloeffel, Cassie Workman, Steve Hughes, Daniel Townes and more on the massive line-up. LGBTIQ+ comedians Craig Hill, Paul Foot, Rhys Nicholson, Stephen K Amos and more will also be making their return to Perth for the gala.

The inevitable federal election will also get a spotlight, with The Chaser‘s Charles Firth teaming up with The Shovel‘s James Schloeffel, 7.30‘s Mark Humphries and Freudian Nip‘s Victoria Zerbs and Jenna Owen (The Feed) to declare War on the F*#king Election 2019 at the Astor Theatre on Saturday 27th April.

This year the festival is taking on Fremantle, bringing the Perth Comedy Festival Showcase to Rock Rover to celebrate the funniest in local talent on Thursday 2nd & 9th May.

The main event – The Perth Comedy Festival Gala – has already sold out it’s first night, so get in quick for the second round on Wednesday 8th May.
