L.A. based singer-songwriter Mia Dyson will be playing a show in Fremantle this weekend. Catch her at the Sonar Room with special guest Grace Armstrong.

It’s be the first time Dyson has visited Western Australian in three years. Since self-releasing her debut album at age 22, Dyson has built up a legion of dedicated fans and followers.

In creating her sixth highly acclaimed album If I Said Only So Far I Take It Back, the L.A.-based artist deepened the connection to her musical roots by recording at Portside Sound: a studio in the same Muscle Shoals building where legendary records by the Bob Dylan and Joe Cocker came to life.

Dyson recently spoke to the ABC about her life in the USA and said Los Angeles had a great community for the arts, but she can’t stay away from Australia for too long. The singer said on her new album she was trying to be more courageous, and tackle the fear of trying new things.
