The performance is rumoured to have cost up to five million dollars to produce. The song is the first track from Madonna’s upcoming 14th studio album Madame X which will be out in June.

For the album Madonna is said to play several different personas, and the use of the hologram technology allowed her to appear as several different characters at the same time.

South American singer Maluma is just one of several singers Madonna collaborates with on the new album. Also on the record is Quavo from hip-hop band Migos, rapper Swae Lee from Rae Sremmurd and Brazilian singer Anitta.

Check out the performance.
