The upcoming Drag Race Canada has officially started its engines, announcing three permanent judges for the competition’s judging panel.

Unreal star Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Canada’s Next Top Model / America’s Next Top Model judge Stacey McKenzie and RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11 runner-up Brook Lynn Hytes will all be assessing the contestants of the show’s debut season.

“I remember a year ago I was in the @worldofwonder offices, just after filming season 11, and I said “I want a Canadian Drag Race… and I want to be a judge!” Well, dreams come true!” Hytes announced on Instagram.

“I couldn’t be more excited and honoured to be a permanent judge on @canadasdragrace and to be able to help show the amazing talent the north has to offer.”

Drag Race Canada will join Drag Race Thailand and the much-anticipated Drag Race Australia as spin-offs of the long-running RuPaul’s Drag Race, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – which debuts next month.

Could Brook Lynn’s inclusion on the panel mean we might see fellow drag racer Courtney Act behind the desk for Drag Race Australia? Both Drag Race CanadaAustralia are set to air later this year.
