Take a look at the trailer for the next instalment of 'The Crown'

The third season of The Crown will be coming to Netflix on 17th November, and the new series will see a whole new cast take over the show as the story of the royal family moves into the 1970’s.

Queen Elizabeth will be portrayed by Oscar winner Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies from Game of Thrones takes over the part of Prince Philip and Helena Bonham-Carter will play the Queen’s sister Princess Margaret.

Also joining the show is Law and Order UK star Ben Daniels who will play Anthony Armstrong-Jones, and Emerald Fennell from Call the Midwife who will play Camilla Shand – who is now the Duchess of Cornwall.

Charles Dance, best known for his role as Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones, will play Lord Louis Mountbatten, the role was previously played by Greg Wise.

Filming of the third and fourth season is occurring simultaneously with the story heading into the 1980’s and the arrival of Princess Diana, and the political reign of Margaret Thatcher. Gillian Anderson will portray Thatcher, but will not been seen until the fourth series in 2020.
