Created by RuPaul and Sex and the City mastermind Michael Patrick King, the scripted series follows Ruby Red (RuPaul) as they pursue their lifelong dream to open a drag club – and has that dream snatched from her fingertips by a con artist.

Setting out on a cross-country fundraising tour, Ruby meets 10-year-old AJ and their paths converge as they learn from one another.

AJ and the Queen also features Arrow star Josh Segarra and Tia Carrere as Lady Danger – the conman’s partner in crime.

The announcer at the beginning of the teaser also sounds suspiciously like the one and only Latrice Royale of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame… could she make an appearance in the show?

Check out the teaser below. AJ and the Queen hits Netflix on January 10th.
