ArtShorts: Arcadia

Rebecca Davis, Andrew McFarlane, Whitney Richards in ARCADIA

Black Swan Theatre brings Tom Stoppard’s 1993 masterpiece of English playwriting, Arcadia, to Perth this month. Set in Sidley Park, Derbyshire, the play explores sexual attraction, maths, science and landscape design through the interactions of modern and 19th century characters. Chaos and order, classicism and romanticism battle it out as the Lady Thomasina Coverly receives an education, Byron is accused of murder and the identity of a mysterious hermit is revealed….

Black Swan Theatre’s Arcadia runs from March 17th to April 1 at The Heath Ledger Theatre
