Urban foursome 112, Blu Cantrell, Snap and Real McCoy will appear on the same bill for the Thrownback tour.

The tour will kick off at Perth’s Metro City on Friday December 15th before heading to Melbourne’s Trak Lounge on Saturday 16th, Eaton Hills Hotel in Brisbane on Friday 22nd, and Made by the Hill in Sydney on Saturday December 23rd. THere will be s econd Sydney show at The Ivy on Boxing Day.

112 and Blu Cantrell will be on the bill for shows at HQ in Adelaide on Tuesday 19th, and at Discovery Nightclub in Darwin.

Equally rooted in gospel, soul and hip-hop, 112 was the first and most successful urban vocal group to emerge from Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs’ Bad Boy Records roster.

Not only was the group’s eponymous 1996 debut popular, but the group could be heard on records by Bad Boy artists such as Puff Daddy. Unlike most artists on Bad Boy, 112’s image was clean, pure and wholesome, which helped the group cross over to a more mainstream audience.

The four members of 112 – Marvin, Daron, Q and Mike – met each other while attending high school in Atlanta, Georgia. Combs signed on as the executive producer of 112’s eponymous debut album.

‘Only You,’ the group’s debut single, was released in the summer of 1996 and climbed to number three on the R&B charts, peaking at number 13 on the pop charts. 112 was released in late 1996 and it steadily worked its way to gold status as the group’s second single, Come Seem Me, reached number 15 on the R&B charts. Room 112 followed in 1998 and Part III was issued three years later.

Renowned for their work with Snap!, producers Luca Anzilotti and Michael Münzing have written more than one chapter in the history of dance music.

Their international megahit The Power is not only one of the world’s most played dance-tracks, but also the one that launched the Snap! attack fifteen years ago, taking the world by storm and turning Anzilotti and Münzing into one of Europes most successful producer teams.

Snap’s 1990 debut album World Power has sold more than seven million copies and is one of the most successful dance albums ever. It showcases not only The Power but other world hits like Ooops Up, Cult Of Snap and Mary Had A Little Boy, all sung and co-written by Penny Ford.

Another of their hits, Rhythm Is A Dancer was the best selling single of 1992 in both Germany and the UK, occupying the #1 slot in Germany for over ten weeks and listing in the US Billboard Charts for consecutive 39 weeks.

Snap! is officially represented on stage by Penny Ford and the new rap artist Benjamin Lowe and they perform all the biggest Snap hits live including Rhythm Is A Dancer which re-entered the UK charts and peaked at #23 years after first release. Since World Power, the group has produced another three albums titled The Madman’s Return (1st Edition), Welcome To Tomorrow and the latest The Cult of Snap.

Blu Cantrell is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. Cantrell rose to fame in 2001, with the release of her debut single, Hit ‘Em Up Style (Oops!) which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the US Mainstream Top 40 chart, along with charting across several countries and being included in her debut album, So Blu.

The song earned Cantrell two Grammy Awards nominations. In 2003, Cantrell released her second album, Bittersweet, which was nominated for a Grammy Award and resulted in the single Breathe (featuring Sean Paul; written & produced by Ivan Matias.

Breathe was a major success worldwide in 2003, topping the European Hot 100 Singles and the UK Singles Chart for four consecutive weeks and also reaching the top ten of several other charts across the world (Top 10 in Australia achieving ARIA Gold Status).

REAL MCCOY from Germany promise to instantly take you back to the 90’s with their mega hits: Automatic Lover, Runaway and Love & Devotion as well as number 1 hit single Another Night and platinum selling single One More Time. The dance/rap group have announced original studio singer Karin Kasar has reunited with founding member and rapper O-Jay, giving you the opportunity to see the original line up.
