Australian icon Carlotta, our first transgender TV star and inspiration behind The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is heading west to share stories from her glorious 50-year careet.

Helpmann-award winner and Fringe World favourite Michael Griffiths will also return with a three piece band and a selection of musical gems.

Manager at The Maj, Helen Stewart, said she’s excited that this season is stacked with names we know and love, and up-and-comers who deserve to be household names.

“Our next show, He’s Every Woman, was a Fringe World 2019 Cabaret Weekly Award winner and one of its two stars, Melbourne’s Justin Clausen, was extremely impressive on the current season of The Voice,” Stewart said.

“I can’t wait for the return of Melissa Langton and Mark Jones in What’s New Pussycat – a journey through the free love era with hits from Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, The Fab Four and more. They bring soul-drenched vocal fireworks, breathtaking harmonies and they are incredibly funny.”

“He’s been called a national treasure, and when music PhD Trevor Jones sings the Great Australian Songbook in Under The Milky Way I doubt any will disagree. This energetic and highly entertaining piano man and his band give expert treatment to Peter Allen, INXS, Darryl Braithwaite and more.”

“Every year Downstairs at The Maj brings unique treats and this year is no exception – the season’s absolutely brimming with talent from all over the country, so please do stick around to meet them after their performance.”
