Chilled To Perfection

wbn-azumi-master bedroomThe latest new house design from the team at Webb Brown Neaves takes its inspriation from Japan. The Azumi is a large family home that instantly feels like a sanctuary from the busy world outside. Featuring fish ponds around the exterior of the house, Japanese shoji screens and wooden floors, the house has an effectively subtle Asian influence.

Like so many of the current new home designs the bedrooms are all at the front of the property. On one side of the large enterance way there is three family bedrooms and an activity alcove. The other side features the huge master bedroom, wardrobe and ensuite.

The rear of the house is all about entertaining with a massive kitchen that stands opposite the open dining space, which is on an unusual raised floor. A lounge room and an alfresco area stand seamlessly next to the kitchen. Off to the side there is a theatre, perfectly placed near the kitchen – so you can go back for more popcorn.

It’s striking that this house is built for how we live our lives today, lots of home entertaining, lots of space for media and computers and a very miminal amount of gardening. Unlike a lot of the other new home designs this layout is refreshingly simple.
