HBO have announced a new drama is coming from the creator of Downton Abbey, revealing its first four stars this week.
The Gilded Age takes audiences to the late 1800s, America’s Gilded Age, and follows the story of Marion Brook – the daughter of a Southern general who moves to live with her aunts in New York City.
The drama is set to star former gubernatorial candidate and bisexual actor Cynthia Nixon as Ada Brook, who is learning to deal with the collapse of the south, The Good Wife‘s Christine Baranski as stubborn aristocrat Agnes van Rhijn, Amanda Peet and Morgan Spector.
The ten episode debut season from Julian Fellowes is set to air sometime this year.
