Geraldton Gets Spectacular with GFest

Geraldton will be celebrating its diverse community and vibrant arts scene with a ten day festival: The GFest Arts Spectacular, or GAS.

The coveted De Parel Spiegeltent will be set up in Queens Park Gardens and hosting a range of exciting performances.

The festival will also include activities such as basket making, natural dyes, and free-form embroidery.

The festival runs through the school holidays and features activities for all ages such as a band night, yoga, dance, and beat boxing workshops. For adults there’s film nights, ballroom dancing and a range of more grown-up performances.

The festival will have a swinging 60s theme complete with a ‘Go-Go Garden’ fitting with alfresco bar. There’ll be an Oktoberfest event on the 4th of October with a DJ spinning Berlin-style beats.

GFest’s special guest MC is none other than Famous Sharron, so it’s sure to be a fabulous time.
