Gina Liano is heading back to ‘The Real Housewives of Melbourne’

A new series of The Real Housewives of Melbourne is coming in 2027, and original housewife Gina Liano will be returning to the fold.

Foxtel shared the news that the series was returning at an industry event last week, revealing that Liano would be part of the cast.

“It’s been a while between drinks, but some things are worth waiting for. I am delighted to be returning for the new season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne,” Liano said.

“I’ve missed the glamour, the fabulous women and, of course, the drama. I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, meeting some new ones and getting back to what we do best: having a good time, looking fabulous and causing a little trouble along the way.”

Liano was part of the original cast when the series debuted in 2014 alongside Jackie Gillies, Andrea Moss, Janet Roach, Chyka Keebaugh and Lydia Schiavello. She remained with the show for its first four seasons.

The show went on to have two more seasons, and 15 different women have been part of the cast throughout its run. Gina was widely regarded as a fan favourite, known for her calm demeanour, glamorous outfits and signature voluminous hair.

Outside the show, Liano also appeared on Neighbours, took part in Celebrity Apprentice, and released her autobiography.

There is no word yet on whether any other former cast members will return when the show comes back to screens in 2027. The last time the show was on air was in 2021 with Gilles and Roach as the only remaining original cast members. Gamble Breaux, who joined the show in its second season has recently been a competitor on The Traitors Australia.
