Norooz is the celebration of the Persian New Year. It takes place in the northern hemisphere on the first day of spring. In recognition of Persian New Year, Kulcha are holding an Iranian Short Film Festival. The event runs over March 20th, 25th and 26th and features some of the most innovative and creative short films coming out of Iran at the moment. It’s a rich tapestry of stories, images and narratives, all of which give an insight into Iranian culture. On the opening and closing nights traditional Persian and Sufi music performances will be supplied by Perth ensemble Kimeya. www.kulcha.com.au
