How many elephants…

Does it take to gong a comedian off-stage? Three apparently according to new comedy concept club Chuckles where the laughs are firmly in the hands of those watching. The format is easy: comedians are given five minutes each to wow the audience with their genius. However, if at any point their jokes lag, one of three preselected audience members can raise an elephant card to denote their disdain. Once all three elephant cards are up? Gong! They’re off! It’s that simple! What this night does guarantee is that comedians stay on the ball, delivering punchy punchline after punchy punchline which can result in some hilarious onstage antics. Chuckles happens on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month overs at the Elephant & Wheelbarrow from 8pm. www.chucklestheelephant.com
