Iceland is sending anti-capitalist BDSM techno band Hatari to Eurovision

Iceland have never won Eurovision, but this year they might stand out from the crowd. Over the weekend they picked anti-capitalist, BDSM loving, techno band Hatari to be their representative  in the 2019 competition.

The techno punk band from Reykjavik beat five other performers in a local competition to gain the honour.

The group formed in 2015 and features three members, Klemens Nikulásson Hannigan, Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson and Einar Hrafn Stefánsson.

So far they’ve released a few singles and an EP, but being on Eurovision is going to expose them to a massive international audience.

The group will now head to Israel to perform their tune Hatrid Mun Sigra.  Check out the tune.
