Despite constantly denying he was a contestant on Channel Ten’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ -comedian Joel Creasey has been dropped into the South African jungle.
The Australian version of the popular British program kicked off last night as Creasey joined a bunch of celebrities in the Big Brother in the Jungle show.
Alongside Creasey is cricketer Merv Hughes, footballer Barry Hall, radio personality Chrissie Swan, Olympian Leisel Jones, TV presenter Andrew Daddo, model Laura Dundovic, actor Maureen McCormick (from the Brady Bunch), professional traveler (that’s a thing?) Tyson Mayr and former Hi-5 member Lauren Brandt.
While some of the contestants are household names, a few a little less know.
Mayr is a professional traveler who has a Instagram account that you can drool over. He’s currently dating Lisa Hyde wo was on The Bachelor’ last year.
Lauren Brandt left Hi-5 at the beginning for 2014 to pursue other entertainment opportunities and run her fashion label Loliboli. The singer from Queensland was part of the second generation of the Hi-5 cast.
McCormack is best known for her role as Marcia Brady in ‘The Brady Bunch’ from 1969 – 1974. The American actress is no stanger to celebrity TV shows, last year she won US show ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ by shedding 15 kilos.
Laura Dundovic is a model who won Miss Universe Australia in 2008 and hosted the Foxtel show ‘Celebrity Dating in the Dark’.
Creasey nominated the Juvenile Diabeates Research Fund as his charity for the show. The show returns to Channel Ten at 7:30pm weeknights. Tune in tonight to see Joel take on a challenge that looks like it involves lots of bugs and spiders… we also predict it’ll involve lots of Joel Creasey squeals.
