Local Identity Buka Passes Away

DSC_7450Much loved and well known local identity Buka has passed away.

The respected community elder passed away in Fiji this afternoon following a short illness.

Buka had traveled to Fiji just 10 days ago for a family funeral.

News of of Buka’s passing was shared on Facebook group ‘Lost Gay Perth’. Many members of the community have shared their memories of ‘Aunty Buka’ noting that life was never dull when Buka was around.

OUTinPerth offers condolences to all of Buka’s friends and family.
