Looking back: Marriage Rally in Perth 2009

Back in 2009 when a Marriage Rally was held in front of London Court in Perth’s Hay Street Mall there was only a handful of people involved in the call for marriage equality.

As people argue against allowing LGBTI Australian the right to wed their partners, citing that we’re rushing into societal change, and that people’s haven’t even had time to think about the issue, it’s empowering to realise, how long the journey has been, and how many people are now fully supportive of marriage equality.
