Luna Palace Cinemas are hosting two special screenings to celebrate the release of the long-awaited sequel to Practical Magic.
The film comes almost 30 years after the original Practical Magic, bringing Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing back to cast a new spell.
Luna is celebrating with a Morning Brew screening at Windsor Cinema, with a special Witch’s brew of Courage Tea and chocolate cake. You can also take in an evening session at Windsor or Luna Leederville with mulled wine and chocolate.
Both films are based on novels by author Alice Hoffman, who has now written multiple follow ups to the 1995 original Practical Magic, including The Rules of Magic, Magic Lessons and The Book Of Magic – where the sequel film draws its story.
Practical Magic 2 is set 25 years after the original film, returning to the Owens family as they uncover a shocking secret about their family history.
Gillian and Sally (Kidman and Bullock) are back, alongside their aunts Frances and Jet (Channing and Wiest) to confront the curse that looms over their family once and for all.
The original cast will be joined by Joey King and Maisie Williams as Sally’s two daughters, with Lee Pace, Solly McLeod and Xolo Maridueña.
Practical Magic 2 premieres this Thursday, 10 September. For more, head to lunapalace.com.au
