Morrissey Signs New Record Deal

MorrisseyMorrissey has signed a new record deal with the Harvest Label and will have a new album out later in the year.

The former lead singer of The Smith’s has said that he’s thrilled with the new deal and will be heading to France to record the new record with Producer Joe Chiccarelli.

Morrissey’s most recent album was 2009’s ‘Years of Refusal’.

In 2013 Morrissey released his memoir through Penguin books. Last month he told fans that he’d enjoyed writing the book and had begun work on a fictional book as his next project.

Since his critically acclaimed band The Smiths split up in 1987, Morrissey has released nine solo albums including ‘Viva Hate’, ‘Your Arsenal’, ‘Vauxhall and I’ and ‘You Are the Quarry’. While it’s five years since he last released an album that not his biggest stretch of inactivity. He had a seven year gap between 1997’s ‘Maladjusted’ and 2004’s ‘You Are The Quarry’.
