Activist group Queer Liberation Boorloo has announced a fundraiser featuring some of Perth’s coolest musical acts.
The That’s Fighting Music fundraiser gig will feature Chickspit, Lauren and the Goodfights, Capes and Crowns, might be Miki, and other local queer artists, including poet Joni Boyd.
Organisers say funds raised will be used to build the capacity of queer people to organise for their collective liberation through Queer Liberation Boorloo.

More specifically, the group says it is committed to pushing back against what it describes as the growing far right, which organisers argue poses an existential threat to trans people. The organisation is also campaigning for the Western Australian Government to implement long-promised changes to the Equal Opportunity Act, including protections for trans people from discrimination regardless of their legal gender status and the closure of exemptions that allow religious institutions to discriminate.
The group also campaigns to address social inequalities that it argues create the conditions for far-right politics to grow.
The fundraiser will take place on 24 October 2026, and tickets are on sale now.
