“Hatchets burried, axes exhumed” is how Veruca Salt described their reformation last year.
Now the alternative rock band is heading to Australia are are set to play a show at The Rosemount Hotel on Sunday September 28th.
The Chicago band featured Louise Post and Nina Gordon alongside drummer Jim Shapiro and Bassist Steve Lack.
They had a massive hit with ‘Seether’ in 1996 from their album ‘American Thighs’.
Their success continued the following year with their second album ‘Eight Arms to Hold You’ which spawned the hit songs ‘Volcano Girls’ and ‘With David Bowie’.
In 1998 Nina Gordon left the band, Louise Post continued performing under the Veruca Salt moniker with a rotating lineup of musicians. Now they’re all friends again and heading to town.
‘Seether’ is probably the most played song in the OUTinPerth office. We play it when we want to tidy up the office, housework is so much more fun if you have to have it completed in under three minutes.
Take a listen to Seether (house work is optional) and book a ticket to see the band in September.
