The streaming services chief content officer Ted Sarandos has told media that Golden Globe winner Robin Wright is set to take the reigns of the dark political drama next year.

Sarandos did not clarify how the show will deal with the focal character of Frank Underwood, who was played by Spacey for the last five years.

The program’s final season will also be shortened to eight episodes, rather than the 13 the last few seasons have run for.

House of Cards Season 6 will hit Netflix in 2018.
