When All Things Queer hits the airwaves tonight at 10pm they will be calling on listeners to pledge their support to the station by becoming subscribers by calling the studio on 9260 9210 or logging on to www.rtrfm.com.au

Host Tim Daly encourages listeners to tune in tonight – ‘We’ve put a lot of effort in this year, we’ve got Narelda Jacobs from Channel ten on the show tonight.’

The community station receives no ongoing government funding and needs to raise significant funds each year to stay on air with weekly operating costs averaging around $17,500. With just a small team of staff RTRFM relies on over 200 volunteers to present programs around the clock.

All Things Queer which made it’s debut in February 2010 it the latest in a series of GLBT focussed programs that the station has provided over it’s long history including E.T.H.O.S, Sheer Queer and QuEAR.

Daly thanked fans of the show thus far, ‘thank you for taking pride in the show, and for all your support this year’.

Disclosure: OUTinPerth Editor Graeme Watson is a former staff member and Company Director at Arts Radio Ltd, the non profit company that operates RTRFM. Graeme is currently a volunteer presenter on the station. OUTinPerth sponsors RTRFM, specifically the program All Things Queer.
