Yishai Schlissel, described by the Jerusalem Post as an ‘ultra-Orthodox man’, was released from prison just weeks ago after serving a 10 year sentence for wounding three people at a similar LGBT event in March of 2005.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned the attacks as “a most serious incident” and that is contra to Israeli values.
