Talk to Me

What two things do Harvey Milk, Socrates, Oscar Wilde, James Baldwin and Tennessee Williams all have in common?

They all had same sex attractions and they were all great communicators.

They were incredible orators as well as wordsmiths and spent their lives putting into words some amazing stories, speeches and verses to educate and entertain. Each of these men was able to put their point across and be understood by those they were communicating with.

Being able to effectively communicate your needs, wants and desires can be a challenge. In the past year it became apparent that there was a need to run a course at the AIDS Council that dealt directly with communication and all its forms for men with same sex attractions and so
a course has been designed that assists men to communicate in all facets of their lives.

This 6 week course is aimed specifically at equipping men with the skills to be able to express themselves and be understood. In 2009 we communicate in so many ways and it is really important that we are able to learn how to be effective in our communication with potential partners, current partners, friends, acquaintances, workmates and family.

Talk To Me is for any man who wants to learn how to get the most out of his personal and professional relationships. This course aims to skill those attending with communication skills that we all possess and sometimes forget to use.

Just think about how much better life could be if we were all able to put our point across and be understood; if we could eliminate conflict from the way we communicate and be happy in how we do it…

If you would like to be part of this workshop then please give us a call and get your name on the list for the group that is beginning at the end of January. Your commitment will be one night a week for 6 weeks and you will also get a chance to meet like minded men in a laid back environment.

We look forward to talking to you soon.
