Tom Ballard visits the ACL National Conference

Tom Ballard’s new nightly comedy show Tonightly seems to be finding its feet. The first few episodes last week felt a little uneven, but now the comedians daily look at the news cycle seems to be hitting its stride.

Recently the show featured a humorous segment where Ballard dropped by the Australian Christian Lobby’s annual conference.

Ballard launched into a musical theatre duet with one of the conference’s featured speakers, while running some alternative slogans past ACL boss Lyle Shelton. Australian Conservatives leader Cory Bernardi however didn’t seem to want to chat to the new nightly comedy show.

Catch up on past episodes at ABC Comedy’s YouTube channel or tune on ABC Comedy each week night at 9pm, or watch it online at 6pm (WA time).

The show is filmed just two hours before it goes to air, so it’s jokes about politics and the news are very very current.
