The trial of Valerie Parashumti and her girlfriend Jessica Stasinowsky continued this month. In court, Stasinowsky and Parashumti were chastened by the judge for ‘light-hearted’ courtroom behaviour. The prosecution has called for a strict security life sentence, while the defense has asked for their early admission of guilt and youth to be taken into consideration as mitigating factors. The girls will be sentenced on March 7.
