Fans of TV lawyer Janet King might have thought the story was all wrapped up when the recent series of the show concluded.

But there’s more tales from the world of Janet King to come with the ABC announcing a third series of the show will go into production later this year. The next installment will screen on the ABC sometime in 2017.

Marta Dusseldorp’s ‘ice queen’ character first appeared in the ABC TV shows ‘Crownies’ before getting her own spin-off series. Many of the characters from ‘Crownies’ made the crossover to the new series too.

The most recent series saw King take on the role of a Royal Commissioner looking into a spate of gun crimes. At the end of the series it was suggested that King’s next role might be as a judge.

Janet King series 2 is available on DVD now.

  1. So, so happy to hear this…the show fired on all cylinders this season and did the queer women community proud unlike other shows that killed a lesbian character.
